FARMING ACTIVITIES FOR LITTLE STARS KINDERGARTEN 

This week's theme is all about the farm! We are lucky to have had the opportunity to visit several different farms in the area including a sunflower farm and a dairy farm! There are so many interesting aspects to farm life from planting and harvesting to the different machines used

The mindmap above shows us all the activities for Farming Day in Little Stars Kindergarten. It's surprising to know that many kids don't really know where food comes from. Helping kids understand where food comes from helps them appreciate fresh healthy foods.

Teach children about the farm and all the tools and activities done on a farm to raise food and animals.

Free printable coloring sheets for kids that tell a wonderful story. Great supplement for a garden program, at home gardening project or after a visit to the farmer's market.

As it can be seen, the Farming Activities have 7 small subjects for the kids to choose. They are included: Math, Languages Arts, Arts, Music, Dramatic Play, Science and Social Studies. 

The activities of each parts help the child improve the skills of recognize things, distingue the animal, sing with teachers, some garden workshop for them to be more active and understand how hard the farmers had worked in the 

Beside that, we have the Math class for kids to count the animals or match the number with the quantity of the animal in the pictures, colors and sort the animal. The little kids also can practice and learn how to write the number which must be very important steps for them in Math. We explored full, more, less, even, same while filling the measuring cups. 

Further more, we have the Dramatic Play, which will provide the kid the plastic trees for them to learn how to plan a tree, maybe this can be added to the science dig in the dirts. 

Moreover, the favorite parts for the kids is the Language Arts which has 2 small parts: Writting and Reading. The games are included matching the beginning sounds of a farm animal picture to the letter and we have the other game which is very interesting for children. It is called the Carrot Word Family Game: one bag with 2 sets of words families (previous introduced) that are on paper carrots. The kids pick out a carrot, read the word and write it in the matching title. It can be done alone or with a partner....And these game are just small parts of the Farming Day at the Little Stars Kindergarten.

Throughout the workshops, we hope the activities will help the children more and more active and healthy instead sitting in front of the computer or tablet all day.
The brain games also help the children get along with the number and how to use brain effectively, maybe these will be the important step which help them more intelligent in the future.

Hapiness

Definition

Philosophers and religious thinkers often define happiness in terms of living a good life, or flourishing, rather than simply as an emotion. Happiness in this sense was used to translate the Greek Eudaimonia, and is still used in virtue ethics.

Happiness is a fuzzy concept and can mean many different things to many people. Part of the challenge of a science of happiness is to identify different concepts of happiness, and where applicable, split them into their components. Related concepts are well-being, quality of life and flourishing. At least one author defines happiness as contentment.^[2]Some commentators focus on the difference between the hedonistic tradition of seeking pleasant and avoiding unpleasant experiences, and the eudaimonic tradition of living life in a full and deeply satisfying way.^[3]

The 2012 World Happiness Report stated that in subjective well-being measures, the primary distinction is between cognitive life evaluations and emotional reports.^[4] Happiness is used in both life evaluation, as in “How happy are you with your life as a whole?”, and in emotional reports, as in “How happy are you now?,” and people seem able to use happiness as appropriate in these verbal contexts. Using these measures, the World Happiness Report identifies the countries with the highest levels of happiness.
